What is included

Every supported stay includes accommodation, all meals, all transport, activities, and 24/7 support from experienced Morhaven support workers. More about respite and holiday stays.

What a stay looks like

A stay runs across a few days, with the group travelling together, staying together and doing the activities that go with wherever you are. There is support on hand the whole time, including overnight.

Before a stay we go through what to pack, any medication or personal care you need, food you can and can’t eat, and anything that helps you settle somewhere new. If you’d rather do a shorter first stay before committing to a longer one, say so — that is a normal thing to ask for.

Stays run through the year and places fill early. These are the trips still to come in 2026:

  • Amaroo Fun Escape — Friday 21 to Sunday 23 August
  • Amaroo in Full Bloom — Friday 18 to Sunday 20 September
  • Blue Mountains Retreat — Friday 16 to Sunday 18 October

Earlier in the year the program also ran the Amaroo Summer Escape, the Amaroo Explorer Trip, a Sydney City Escape, the Amaroo Winter Escape and the Amaroo Getaway. Ask us about the 2027 dates.

Group sizes and staffing are set for each stay, based on who is coming and what the trip involves. Tell us what you need and we will confirm the arrangements with you before you book.

What it costs

Short Term Accommodation is usually funded through the Core Supports part of an NDIS plan. What a particular stay costs depends on your plan, how long you stay and what the group does while you are away.

Accommodation, all meals, transport to and from every activity, the activities themselves and 24/7 support from experienced support workers are included in a stay, so there are no out-of-pocket costs on top of it. Talk to us before you book and we’ll go through the numbers with you properly rather than leave you to guess.
