What to expect on the day
Every outing runs a little differently, but the shape is the same. We confirm the meeting point and time with you beforehand, staff meet the group there, and we let your family know when everyone is heading back.
Bring whatever you would normally take for the activity — comfortable shoes, a jacket, a hat, your phone. If you need medication, personal care or a particular kind of support while you are out, tell us when you register so the right person is rostered on.
Support ratios, transport and meeting points are arranged around the group and the activity. Weekday programs run Monday to Friday, 9am to 3pm. Friday evenings run 5pm to 9pm, and Saturday socials run 10am to 4pm unless the calendar says otherwise. Ask us and we’ll tell you exactly how a particular outing runs.
What it costs
Most people use their NDIS funding for these activities, usually from the Core Supports part of their plan. Some outings also have an entry fee, ticket price or meal cost of their own.
These activities are funded under the Core Supports and Capacity Building budgets, against assistance with daily life, improved daily living skills, improved relationships and increased social and community participation. Where an outing carries a ticket, entry or meal cost of its own, the member pays it on the day and the amount is printed on the calendar in advance. Ask us before you register and we’ll tell you what a particular outing involves.

These are the bigger outings still to come this year. Places are limited and some need to be booked well ahead, so let us know early if one of them is for you.

- 5 Seconds of Summer, Friday 30 October
- Harry Styles, Sunday 13 December
Earlier in the year the group also went to Australian Idol, an Eels v Dragons game, the Royal Easter Show, an ABBA tribute night, The Wiggles, Penrith v Manly, Vivid and The Greatest Showman. Tickets and entry are paid by the member on the day, and the amount is printed on the calendar in advance.
